PACKING TIPS + RANDOM TID BITS

I spent nine months away from home and was allowed one suitcase of 50 pounds and a carry on of 17 pounds. That was it. My parents wouldn't pay for another suitcase and the price of another cost as much as some of the trips I planned so I didn't want to spend the money either.

Thus, I became very good at packing efficiently (or should I say my mother helped me out a lot).

WHAT I LIKED:
-my backpack was taken with me on every weekend trip and fit under my seat! I also took it on two trips that were 10 days long. It fits so much and is easy to carry. It is a bit pricey but 100% worth it.

-a flat toiletry bag! this saved me so much space it was crazy how much I used and loved it!

-packing cubes made my traveling more organized and thus easier.

MUST HAVES:
-a phone plan! (whether is be a SIM card, international plan, or new phone) I used TIM as a SIM, but Vodaphone and Windscribe are also popular
-download a currency app, converter app, non internet needed maps, a translator app, AirB&B, WhatsApp

-a plug converter for every country

-a passport case/cover (they make you take it off at every customs, but it keeps it safe when it's on)

-bag tags for all items on the plane

-10 foot long charging chord because some hostels just have one far away outlet

-portable charger
